Information reaching The BigNews has it that all the 13 Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) governors are currently in a crucial meeting in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

The meeting is taking place at the International Conference Centre of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) along Akingbile – Ojo road in Ibadan.

The meeting being presided over by the Chairman of the PDP Governors” Forum, Gov Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State will discuss issues relating to the security challenge in the country. The deliberations will also consider other issues pertaining to the progress of the party and the preparations for the 2023 general elections.

Expectedly, the governors will issue a communique at the end of the meeting.

The PDP governors present at the meeting include:  Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Douye Diri of Bayelsa, Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Samuel Ortom of Benue and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.

Others are: Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, Umar Fintiri of Adamawa, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and the host governor, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Also present is the Deputy Governor of Zamfara, Aliyu Gusau who is standing in for Gov. Bello Matawalle.

As at the time of writing this report, Gov. Ben Ayade of Cross River and Gov. Darius Ishaku of Taraba are expected to join their colleagues as the meeting progresses.
