Third Mainland Bridge: Lagosians cry out over the 6 months closure by Governor Sanwo- Olu.
Governor of Lagos State, Babjide Sanwo-Olu have been attacked by Nigerians over the closure of Third Mainland Bridge for six months.
The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mr Olukayode Popoola, announced that the bridge will be closed likely on July 24th for another phrase of repair works to begin.
Popoola said that consultations were on towards evolving perfect traffic management architecture.
The recent development has brought about reactions from residents in Lagos as they have expressed concern over traffic gridlock in the state.
Some Lagosians queried the government for taking such decisions now despite having experienced almost three months lockdown in the state.
Furthermore, some complained that since the Eko bridge is still closed and the New Costain bridge unfinished, with the type of rainy season right now the closure of Third Mainland Bridge will be disastrous Others said they could have done the work during the lockdown .
